This position is a 100% remote role and the candidate can work anywhere in North America
As a part of the Research And Efficacy Team (RET) supporting Cisco Security products, you will provide security research, detection content development and support assistance. You will work towards keeping yourself abreast of the latest malware techniques on Mac OSX, Linux and Windows. You will Investigate, analyze and respond to malware incidents and collaborate with other security researchers to help address customer concerns and provide product efficacy gap guidance. You will develop security content, provide domain expertise, identify product efficacy gaps and conduct research to fill those gaps, all to help protect customers from breaches and cyber attacks.
The RET secures and protect customers through phenomenal products and takes a lead in customer focus, research and delivery. We work to understand attacker tactics, techniques and procedures at the deepest levels and write detection logic to detect and prevent cyber attacks. We work with data scientists, machine learning specialists, threat hunters and software developers to identify and remediate security gaps where they exist.
You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with experience or interest in reverse engineering of malware.
